PHS 100 The Evolution of Retractable Screens Find out all you need to know about the retractable screening industry.  Participants will learn about the history of the product, and the continuing development of features and accessories in the industry to meet changing consumer needs and expectations. 1 LU Hour PSH 103 Planning Considerations for Motorized Recessed Applicatons Plan your next project with retractable screens in their most ideal form.  This program will provide a step-by-step guide to specifying, designing, measuring, and planning for recessed retractable screen applications.  At the end of this program, participants will understand the importance of cavity dimensions, electrical requirements, control options, as well as considerations for home automation and systems integration. 1 LU Hour; HSW Approved PHS 101 Utilizing Retractable Screens for Insect and Solar Protection Learn about the basics of retractale screening products, materials and applications for solar and insect protection.  Participants will be instructed on the uses, features, design aesthetics, safety benefits, and individual components of retractable screens in various commerical and residential applications. 1 LU Hour; HSW Approved PHS 501 Facility Tour Discover the steps involved in the manufacture of this innovative product.  Participants will trace the production of retractable screens for doors, windows and oversized openings (manual and motorized), including a review of aluminum profiles, quality standards, and various options for customization.  This tour may be coupled with any of the other programs available for an additional learning unit. 1 LU Hour PHS 102 Solar Protection and the Preservation of Interiors Know what to look for when you need solar protection in your design.  Participants will learn key issues and considerations for specifying retractable screens as a solar protection feature, understand the importance of shading co-efficient and openness factor measurements, discover the benefits of screen placement for the enhancement of energy efficiency. 1 LU Hour; HSW Approved All Content © 2008 SKILLMAN WINDOW, INC.
