Q: Do I need to have the opening measured by a Phantom Screen representative?
A: Not always.  If you are purchasing a Phantom Screen and you have taken approximate measurements which indicate it is a standard size and color, we will cut the screen down at your loction to custom fit your door opening.  If your approximate measurements indicate that you have a custom size opening, a Phantom Installer will measure your door opening and a custom size screen order will be processed.

Serene Window and Executive Power Screens require specific measurements as these are custom orders.  Measurements taken by the customer will be used to provide an estimated cost only.

Q: How does the Phantom Screen Operate?
A: The screen is pulled from either the right or left by a handle and is secured by two magnets.  The screening material (mesh) is attached on a roller that is hidden inside the housing unit.  There is a spring mechanism inside the roller assembly that controls the gliding motion during retractoin.  A small track is installed on the top and bottom of the door frame which serves as a guide for the mesh to glide through.

Q.  What if my trim color doesn't match any of the standard colors?
A.  Thanks to advanced color-matching technology, Phantom Screens are also available in virtually any color or wood grain through our Custom Coatings Program.  This program was developed to meet the diverse needs of discerning homeowners and building specifiers.  This option is available for an additional cost with the purchase of any Phantom Screen solution.  Due to set-up charges, a higher per-unit cost will apply to orders of 10 units or less.
